Mii amo . . 'One's path, or journey.' - in Yuman, the traditional Native American language of Northern Arizona

Mii amo is a Native American word in the Yuman dialect, which means, 'Journey.'

At Mii amo, we have endeavored to create a place where one can learn, explore, and absorb the unique qualities of well being which are different for every individual. Inspired by the rich wisdom and traditions of Native American people, complimented by the magic and energy of Sedona, we present a luxury spa experience where guests can find balance and life enhancing harmony of mind and body.

Our home called Boynton Canyon, is surrounded by the scenic seclusion of the Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness. Stunning adobe architecture inspired by ancient cliff dwellings honors ancient inhabitants of Boynton Canyon. Watching over Mii amo as if she's guarding the entrance to this canyon is a wind carved rock formation called 'Kachina Woman.' Native Americans say this is their 'Garden of Eden' - a place where 'first woman' gave birth to the human race.

The Crystal Grotto is the heart and soul of Mii amo - a room whose 'kiva-like' design is also inspired by a traditional Native American place of ritual. The Crystal Grotto is used for quiet contemplation over symbolic earth elements. It is also where the staff gathers and guests are invited each morning to set their individual 'intention for the day' and retrieve the freshly energized oils used in Mii amo treatments.
